No School - Asynchronous Day

Because the safety of our students and staff is always our top priority, all Red Clay schools will follow an Asynchronous Learning schedule on Thursday, January 29, and Friday, January 30, 2026.

Teachers will share learning activities and guidance with families. Please reach out to your child’s teacher for further instruction. All after-school programs and activities are canceled on both days.

School offices will remain open

๐Ÿšจ Schedule Update Due to the Storm โ„๏ธ

Due to the ongoing impacts of the snowstorm, please note the following schedule changes:

๐Ÿ“Œ Monday, January 26, 2026
In accordance with State Offices being closed, all Red Clay schools and offices will be completely closed.

๐Ÿ“Œ Tuesday, January 27, 2026
All students will remain off for a traditional snow day to allow our maintenance and custodial teams time to address school facilities.
This day will also serve as the Educator In-Service Day originally scheduled for January 26. Guidance regarding office operations will be shared once a final decision is made.

We hope everyone in our community is staying safe during the storm. Thank you for your flexibility and continued support. ๐Ÿฆ… ๐Ÿ’™

Dive into icy waters for a great cause! Join Richardson Park as we take the plunge at Rehoboth Beach on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at 1:00 PM. Feel the rush, brave the cold, and make a splash alongside our enthusiastic team, The Icy Eagles of Richardson Park, all in support of an amazing cause.

Can’t make it to the beach? No worries! You can still participate by taking the plunge virtually, anytime and anywhere. Whether you’re jumping into the chilly waves or supporting us from afar, your involvement truly makes a difference. Send us your pictures!

On Saturday, April 19th at 10:00am Richardson Park will be one of many Best Buddy Teams in Delaware walking at the Best Buddies Friendship walk at Frawley Stadium! We are currently fundraising for our team and any amount helps and is greatly appreciated. Happy Autism Acceptance Month flyer- tie dye shirts that say Support Your Local Autism community

Happy Autism Acceptance Month! To celebrate our students with Autism, we are offering one t-shirt design to buy with two different tie dye patterns (or white). Shirts will be $20 each and made by the Sarahs in 113. T-shirt sales will help fund inclusion activities for our school. Thank you for your support!!

Here’s the deal:

  • $1 = students get to vote for their favorite grade level teacher to get pied.

  • $5 = students get entered into a drawing to actually throw the pie! (Approximately 5 winners per grade)

  • The teacher with the most money donated for them, in each grade level,  will be the one who gets pied at the end! 

 

The money raised will go toward the 5th grade end of year events, and we’re sure this will be a blast for everyone involved.

Announcing four Red Clay schools have received Phase 2 School-wide PBS recognition from the Delaware MTSS Technical Assistance Center! This achievement reflects the hard work and dedication to creating positive, supportive environments for our students. Your commitment to promoting and implementing Positive Behavior Support (PBS) has made a remarkable impact, and we couldn't be more proud. Congratulations to Baltz Elementary, Cooke Elementary, Richardson Park Elementary, and Richey Elementary, as well as to everyone involved for making a difference and setting the bar high for excellence in student behavior and school culture!
